Ludovino Lopes, lawyer, licensed by the Law School of Classic University of Lisbon, specialized in the field of the European Community Law and Environmental Law, having been practicing law for the last 25 years alternating in São Paulo and Lisbon, in the areas of Environmental Law (Climate Change), Environmental Services, REDD+, Private International Law, and Technology.

  • Legal Advisor for the Mato Grosso REDD Working Group (Brazil) on the REDD Law (Law # 9.878 from January 7th 2013)
  • Member of the REDD Offset Working Group”(ROW) established in February 2011 as a result of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Governors of California, Chiapas and Acre, as part of a collaborative effort to design an international offset multilateral mechanism between the parties to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (known as “REDD”)

  • Member of the Groups 1, 2 and 3 – Work group of the Brazilian Ministry of Environment in order to establish a national policy of Reduction of Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries (REDD), in 2010
